I'm all for anything that isn't set in WWII, again.

I'd like to see something in the near future, lets say, 100 years or so max. Something like BF2142 where its in the future, but not so far that everything is unrealistic.

Come on guys, dont you think its time for some laser/pulse weapons? So what if its not realistic, we are talking the future.

Think about a sniper rifle that shoots a laser once then has to do a recharge to fire again, thats practically a bolt action rifle.

Pulse guns shooting these short bursts like machine guns.

You can have some bullets in there too, as they will be the cheaper weapons of the age. Maybe some Unreal Tournament style weapons on the battlefield.

Lasers just don't make sense. Plasma would be alright, but PLEASE just don't ask for lasers or talk about "laser guns."

I'd rather see significant improvements on modern day weapons, but they still obey the laws of physics.

Futuristic is stupid, no Sci Fi Atleast please. There is plenty of options from 1950-Present to rely on before they go and dive head first into Sci-Fi or Future of any sort. 'Nam maybe someone could make a good one in that, I'd like to see something with Korea since its largely not touched on, Red Dawn or something like WIC as its being talked about in this thread would all be great. Its for sure not going to be WW2, so thats out of it atleast. They might as well make it BF:COD because COD seems to, or atleast treyarch, wants to mooch ideas from BF Games deny it all you want. I'd rather go realistic than speculation.

You guys aren't serious about a "future" game then. You want CoD2 or Battlefield.

If you guys are talking 100+ years, there are going to be lasers. Laser weapons are on the edge. Look at stealth technology. They are actually making a cloak of invisibility and its WORKING! Look at dragon skin. You can survive a grenade blast with it on.

But, nooooo, lasers arent realistic.

You all do yourselves a favor and stick with CoD2/4/5 and Battlefield, because the future is just too bright for some.
