    This game f'in sucks

I finally got my game to connect, not through opening the "Required ports" but by opening my DMZ thing. Also my router only has 10 ports to open, (linksys BEFSX41), i also opened up the same ports for windows firewall.

All that did nothing until i opened up DMZ port from my router. I acutally got to play for a day or 2 and it was great, even tho the account server lost my connection i was still able to connect to games. Now every time i try to connect my game freezes, yep, not responding with the words "connecting to account server" across my damn screen.

This game gives me nothing but headaches and i run out of things to do.

I doubt it's the game, sounds like either your router or ISP.

DMZ means you are not behind a firewall and all ports open which shows there is a problem somewhere at your end.

I had a linksys router, opening the ports didn't work, I had to disable the router firewall completely. Luckily it broke, I got a Netgear and haven't had a problem since.
Try updating the firmware, if that doesn't work bin it.

If I was a mod here then I could fix your thread title to "I F'in suck".

I'll never understand why some people have firewall issues with BF2. everyone I know is behind a router with no problems.

check the tech faq I guess...
