Not a bad read. In general, they identified the same problems most people had (poor sound, rifles not quite powerful enough, etc)...but overall their impressions were mostly quite positive and they seem to think the competitive side of COD:WW will work nicely as soon as some sort of mod is released.

Interesting.Originally posted by Keyelite View PostAlso something to take note of:
If the game does not do so hot in Europe for competition, chances are that it won't make it in North America
My initial thought would be that COD:WW will probably do well in Europe, given the emotional connection to WWII. Having a British faction/team in the game probably would have helped, however. I guess we'll find out in the coming weeks/months.

Well one of our teammates is from denmark. So far he says the reception for it has not been the greatest, so we will see. If they get a competition mod out quickly and the maps turn out to be pretty solid for competition, it will do fine. If the maps suck, then people will turn back to COD4.Originally posted by WhiskeyInteresting.

But you might have noticed they were the first ones for the sniper fix, having iron sights only, etc. North America eventually just follows the euro community

I don't know of any competitive players in America that say, "Hey, what do the Euros think of this game?" From the American side, some, or most, Euro servers aren't even playable for NA gamers. Playable, but not as enjoyable.Originally posted by Keyelite View PostNorth America eventually just follows the euro community

I'm not talking about playing in European servers..
I'm saying everything we have implemented was already implemented in Europe.
Again, If it fails in Europe for competition, chances are it will die a lot sooner than if Europe supported it.
