The Art Of The Crouching Walker

Crouching walkers... I almost consider this almost useless. hummm. Personally I only use it in camp G to obliterate small cockroaches running under building. Anybody has any other use of this ability? Or if you have stories related to your crouching walker plz let me know.
also who is a better Armored whore then me? http://www.2142-stats.com/wardog.%5BHk.%5D+stats.html

Actually, I have managed to squish a few players that were underneath my walker by crouching down on them. It works pretty well if they are underneath you, trying to shoot the vents or put RDX on the bottom.

That's why I always RDX the legs without standing underneath the walker... I've had way to many emberrasing deaths haha

Well, it's good for crushing soldiers and not much more, except that there are a few hallways you can shoot further into when crouched (Berlin)

I thought that crouching gave you an accuracy boost, especially on the guns. If I am in a 1v1 against another walker or tank at range I will pop shields - crouch and fire my volley of rockets. I think that the rockets fly slightly truer when crouched. I seem to get more hits on but I could be imagining it.

If I'm on a flag with no armour around I always crouch for better accuracy on the guns and the comedy value of engineers running headfirst into the bulkhead

I use it as evasive manuever from long range Walker missiles. It works; and out of 4 missiles; none or only 1 hit me compare to 3 hitting me if my walker is backing up or standing.

Works well on Riesig if you are driving it since PAC walker missiles tend to go up and from side to side.

interesting, never knew that. Ill try it when ill have the chance. And what is long range for you? in-game meters if you can precise.

The rare crouch crush is cool, but I'm usually running my walker *** off to keep the rdx ants away.

And yes, Mess hit it on the head, I love to crouch on Camp G, but you just can't do it for very long or those pesky orb strikes get ya. The critters running around on the bottom floor of Central Camp are very tasty.

And my last ancient chinese walker secret, is squatting under walkways and doorways is safer because it shrinks your profile and tends to minimize the OS damage.

best tip ever. dont stop moving and think before you move in. that way you will not get trapped by mines/ orbital strike/ rdx. and vs walkers they wont hit you as they tend to aim where you are not where you used to be.

My Long range is around 70-100 metres. Which you can barely see the silouette of the walker. It works at close to medium range 60-20 metres if you are behind stacked cargo crates or a building.

My concept of the walker is a giant mechanical soldier; similar to a gundam. So you should always try to reduce your frame and use environment for cover like you would as infantry.

Crouching is also awesome when used as a blocker against APCs. Just watch out for the engineer driver popping out of vehicle. So basically like a brick.
