Odd overlay

I'm on XP SP3, I have my windows firewall off and Symentec AntiVirus (corporate edition or something like that). I have the latest nvidia drivers (Oct 12th or something like that). Finally, I'm on Comcast.



I get this weird overlay on the bottom half of my screen. When I die, it spazes out... randomly I will get a white screen. Out of nowhere my game wanted to optimize shaders, and then I was kicked for PunkBstrB.exe handshake failed. So I updated punkbuster, restarted BF2142, joined again, and the weird line was there. Any ideas?

I heard the 'latest' nvidia drivers cause problems. I don't know if they have been fixed.
Try rolling back.

Did you recently update your Nvidia drivers? Roll back to 175.19 and see if that fixes it. Lots of people are having this problem.

Mine was horrible, at least your's is playable lol.
