in the IWD_05 folder is the sound folder, i opened it up and listened to the US marine sounds and here are quotes from the sound files

As you can see there is a new kill streak and gamemode. I swear on my life this is legit, and if you dont believe me you will find out on tuesday i am completley correct.
Also in each faction sound file has something that says. (Along the lines)
"Enemy base vulnderable!" or "Our base is vulnerable!" Leads me to believe BASE ASSAULT IS BACK!!!!!

Ha ha! I just saw your post about this on cod.com.

Sounds very cool if indeed all of this stuff is still in (sometimes they leave stuff in the game that is not used). I hope your detective work is correct. :)

They left stuff like platoons and pipebombs in the CoD4 files too... Just saying...

I believe you that it's in the game files...I'm just saying that sometimes the code to call these things is pulled/disabled in the final version if they had made a design change. Let's keep our fingers crossed, but don't bet the farm on this yet.

Im gonna lynch myself if they pull out the B-17. that would be epic. Especially if you get to to be the bomardier. Like ou press 6 and then you go to crosshairs high in air, and you click when to drop.

Exactly.

The title of this thread really should not have "Confirmed" in it. Until we get the game or get official word from Treyarch, that's a misleading title. "Revealed", with a "?" would probably be better.

FYI - it's a good thing you posted that info here...one of the mods on cod.com deleted your first post where you detailed all those sound files.

I saw that, which is leaving me to believe it is true! Why would they delete soemthing that was flase. If i were them i would chuckle at the foolishness. I dunno gonna have to wait 4 more days

Nice job detective. We'll see if it shows up in game. Remember, there is a B17 bomber mission in single player, so there would need to be files for that, but from what you posted, it looks as though obviously those would be for mp. HOPEFULLY, we'll find out a positive result and not just some 'stuff' left in the code.
