I like games that have ingame PTT but sometimes its annoying as hell, and others its unrealistic. Like in CoD2, and CoD:WW people dont have interconnected earbugs to hear each other. I am no developer but the concept seems easy, is that, instead of having the voice coming to all players on a team, have a 3d audio coming from that character, like the quickchat thing syou can do (roger that, enemy spotted, etc.). So like if your taking and someone/enemies is/are near by they can hear and know where you are. Also like in the menu when you adjust mic volume, the little bar that goes up and down when you talk would be the distance of where you could be heard. So like if your trying to keep your cover whispering wont really give away your position. And to calibrate it you talk normally while it records level then adjust its so that talk normally would be appropraite distance so that people with outrageously loud mics would not be screwed. I know this is a good idea, but do you think it would mess up gameplay or what?

Re: Voice Idea.
Since no one else posted, Yes it would mess up game play.
People will scream to be heard by enemy teams. In CoD:WW I hear the other team talking when placing mines or warning of incoming strikes/dogs. They added a lot of talking by scenerio that YOU the character do not here. Every time you place a bouncing betty, your character says something, even though you do not hear it.
Its a good concept, but look at the spam that goes on in the consoles. Then make it so its like anyone talking on the street? I dont know if that would be good.
