What... an official DICE statement on BfPortal said this actually:

K, word from EA is it was a server side problem. Although the evidence of a dodgy server spoofing scores is high they say it's a server side problem that effected many people randomly.

The guys are currently looking into a fix to set us all back.

random my ***. what a load of bull. they know people are injecting false stats into accounts on the master server, which is the only reason patch 1.5 is coming out.

Well I just checked my stats and well there is no change at all.

You're not surprised because it's virtually impossible to tweak things like that client side. After an incident about that a few years ago where someone broke the encryption between the server and the client and managed to inject things directly into the Gamespy servers EA uses to do the rankings, they shored it up very fast. Some GSP probably got lax with security and allowed a client direct access to a server, and that client managed to botch things up.

Again, that's just my hypothesis, but it's a probable one.

I mean you earn 500 global points in legit matchs after your spoofed and your stats got reset. then you can prove that your account is legit, this happen before, and I heard some people got there stats back that way.

I'm still amused that someone would actually do something like this. There's no payoff, either...

I guess the payoff is reading these forums...

"I don't care about my stats, but I care that they got wiped" If you don't care continue playing...

I think you can get your stats back if you earn 500 points and then say your account has been spoofed and you want your stats restored...
