Stuck in Under the Radar.

Hi to everyone,this is my first post on this forum, i have been playing episode 2 for a week now ,but i,m stuck ,or is this a bug? in UNDER THE RADAR after you destroy the guns in the metal shed, you get your new car,you get in the car,but there is no engine noise ,also the engineer near the front of the car tells you about the scanner fitted to your car,and how to use it,but the door just won't open,is this a bug?or is there something wrong with my pc? otherwise the game fantastic,just stuck here.any ideas? thanx

Defiantly a glitch. Try going to steam and see if Half-Life 2 didn't update or something, an d if it hasn't let it download and install the update. If that doesn't work the only thing I can think of is that something is wrong with your file. Restart by making a new game, but selecting the last level available. If I remember correctly the one of the levels start right after you kill the helicopter. You'll have to blow up the turret again, but it shouldn't take too long as you already know what to do.

Hi,the problem is now sorted,thanx to bobthejob,did as you suggested,this time there wasn't an engineer near the front of the car,but a soldier who advised me on the use of the scanner.strange that there was an engineer type figure first time around though,again many thanx bobthejob.
