Well i just completed all the challenges for it and i was very disappointed to find the end scope was a sniper scope and not an "ACOG". I wouldnt be as bothered but its the fact that the second you attach the scope the crosshair spread becomes huge with a weapon that i was only 5 minutes ago, running and gunning with.

personally, i hate the garand in cod w@w. i prefer being able to shoot all semi auto rifles like a semi auto rifle. by that i mean the rifle fires as fast as you pull the trigger or in this case the mouse button (im on pc beta). this alone has made me hate the garand. i haven't gotten high enough level for double tap yet so i don't know if having that would help but as it is i hate the gun and don't plan on using it ever unless forced too.

There is a problem with the rate of fire with the garand, but remember this is still a demo thats pre patch.

you must click incredibly slow because i can punch out 8 rounds in the blink of an eye. shooting that quick is unrealistic anyway. and double tap does not effect semi auto rifles (at least it didnt in cod4). the garand with rifle grenades is my fav weapon. the g43 is just too fast and cheap no recoil bs.

unrealistic? not really, in real life you can modify a weapons triggering to allow for crazy speeds with semi auto weapons. have you ever seen any of those gun competitions where dudes going through a course shooting targets as fast as possible? that is some crazy stuff. ill post some video of me firing a g43 and a garand from the beta once i find out when i can without getting in trouble or having it deleted.

In real life the M1 Garand kicks like a mule in heat. You might be able to shoot rounds faster in real life but I'd bet that seven of those rounds would be way off target.

Btw, the M1 is my weapon of choice with bayonet attached. I don't want to give up my Betty's for the grenade launcher and I've never been a fan of the myopic nature of the scope.

You can see in that video the ROF of the garand is slower but the difference is the garand can down a player in 2 hits.
