  • Fatal Error!

    Every time I start up CoD2, singleplayer or multiplayer, safe mode or not, I get this error and then the console pops up.

    Try putting your error message into Google and seeing what comes up.

    I put yours in there, and here's something I found pretty quick that you can try:

    I have just solved my problem.
    In my ati display settings, under advanced.
    In the 3D tab there is an option for Support DXT texture formats.
    (first select the compatability button at the bottom of the 3D page)
    I changed it to Enabled.
    Game ran immediatly. Tested again with disabled :- doesnt work :thumbsup:


    If that doesn't work, try reading the other results that come up and see if one of them works for you. Good luck.

      Did a lot of Googling, didn't help much. I also tried reinstalling my graphics drivers.

      Enabling DXT support didn't work either.

      Edit: Used Driver Cleaner Pro, worked like a charm. Now let's see if 2142 works.
