which patch for a new player?

over at http://cohpatch.relic.com/ it shows that 2.101 is the last patch listed for CoH but with the expansion it lists 2.301. if i don't have the expansion, do i just need the 2.101?

i don't know why they made it so complicated, they should just have one file patch instead of all these incremental ones. it makes it very confusing.

You need the 2.301, expansion or not. And yes, all those patchs are annoying :/

goddam just going from 2.101 to 2.301 requires 4 different patch downloads... ridiculous.

Yes and no, it seems like a lot if you have just got the game but its fine if you keep it up to date.
