Another strange WaW beta problem to add to the list...

Whenever I try to create a profile, I'll input the name, and then I'll get the "Creating profile" screen for a good five minutes... then I shut it off.

I thought I was home free after I solved the other 3 problems just to get the damn game running.

Anyone else having this problem?

Firewall is off.
Virus protector is off.
Rebooted already.

Any suggestions?

Some people have posted similar problems on the kiddie forums...I don't think there is a solid solution yet. Might be a problem with the authentication server.

You could try to re-install if you don't have a profile that you're really attached to right now.

Kyle, if you haven't done a manual update of Punkbuster, give that a try.

It should now have COD:WW files, so after you run the update, click the "Add Game" button and add "COD5" (you may have to manually put in the correct path). Then run the update again.

One guy was successful in doing this to solve his Authentication Error, so maybe it will work for you too.

I'll try it, and I never thought to reboot my router... I'll try that too.

EDIT: Allright.. I tried both of those things, now I get the Unhandled Exception Caught error all the time instead of just sometimes.
