No uav in hud on hardcore??

idk if its just me but while i was playing some hardcore and got a uav when used it i didn't see it in my hud? i had to press x for the big map to see it (which i find very gay)

is this a bug or a new thing for WAW? cause if this is a new thing im going to be very pissed. I cant stand playing non hardcore servers ( takes way to many bullets to kill someone )

Shouldn't that make it even more Hardcore? ie. not having the UAV/Recon radar come up automatically, but having to look at it specifically yourself...one less HUD element.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but it actually sounds kind of good at first thought. I'll have to try it out...

Recon plane or UAV, either way it really wouldn't technically work but its all business and marketing. I hope it stays that way, because you would really have to check a map in real life to see anything that was found by recon. Not that you'd see flashing red dots on a map, but enemy positions and such.

You used to be able to hit escape to check the map. Pressing X is annoying

Since it's WWII, there shouldn't be any UAV...

They didn't have laser/red dot scopes in WWII either but those are still in the game.

They are? I though you only got aperature's. I have yet to see laser's or red dots in WaW.

I think it's good that you don't see uav's on the map in hardcore, if only we could get that in softcore :/

Yeah, we all have a blast saying "OHHH YOU GOT BLACK-DOTTED!!!"

I agree with you guys to some extent, because while I don't want the UAV on the mini map in regular (softcore = pr0n), I just wish there was no UAV to begin with, I see it as really cheap (especially with the ability to shoot through walls.)

The material penetration is much more realistic in WaW, only rifles and stuff like the BAR can really get through the though stuff. You can still kill people through materials, which is good but it makes cover a lot more viable in WaW.

UAV IMO should not even exist... any feature that stops or slows people using this gets the thumbs up from me.

I don't know if this will make servers unranked or not in the full version when it comes out, but right now, it seems the option is there for server admins to disable the killstreaks (UAV, dogs, etc) and even the perks, and still have the server running as "ranked" in the Beta.
