Wtf?!?!?!?!?

There's something seriously wrong with my CoD4.. Whenever I click Multiplayer I sit at the CoD4 banner screen for about a minute before it decides to fire up.. Then when I join a server I'm in it for no more than 1-3 minutes before it tells me "IW3MP.exe" has stopped working.. WTF is going on??? I have always had the startup issue but this is the first time I have actually got it stopping working during a game..

I have just tried reinstalling the game which has done nothing to fixing any of the problems.. Anyone know what the problem is?

got the same problem. the only way i can play mp is through xfire.

Some people say reinstall, its vista's fault, onboard sound can be the problem, and to plug a usb mike in.

I reinstalled, its not vista's fault, i dont have onboard sound, and if i need a usb mike to play then IW should have stuck one in the box

Well I just figured out my problem... Logitechs sh*tty setpoint software.. I uninstalled that useless program and now CoD4 works :)

So if you have Setpoint installed p*ss it off..

I got my working by replacing my player profile with a backup i had. Lost a couple of ranks but hay it works again

Try updating the setpoint software? I run it with no problems.
Mine is SetPoint Version: 5.00.175 driver Version: 4.22.52

I have setpoint as well, latest version and CoD4 works fine.

nah i just use the mouse options under control panel that way i don't have to bother doing any updates or worrying if my games just going to sh*t itself..

I have setpoint too.....No problems here..
