Lately I have been playing COD4 for it's beautiful graphics and realism. It's been awhile after countless frags I began to knocticed the dullness of the gameplay. I realized that all I have been doing is tossing gernades randomly and spraying my gun through walls. I only just now knoticed that even though COD4 has teammates, thoughout the entire time I have never interacted with any of them mentally and physicaly ingme. It's like they are only there to distract enemies so you can get a clean shot. I have never needed any of em and pretty much can play the game without knowing they even exist. In COD4 the game pace is way to fast and the maps are just too small to even have a conversation or plan an attack with out being randomly shot at.

I am currently playing BF2 again and missing how awesome it is to travel in a pack to capture enemy bases, to interact and command or even to simply say wow thanks for the med kit. I find it much more enjoyable to live a little longer and travel a little more distant with a group of squad.

It all comes down to CoD's small maps.. It's what ruined the multiplayer for me

+1 here RedxInk I stopped CoD4 mainly due to the fact that it got too repetitive (after about playing 6 months of it :laugh:) I too am back to good 'ol BF2 resuming my captain rank...

CoD4 is a great game but IMO it should have been more like BF2

I don't like the COD4 rounds lasting 5 minutes, and being randomly shot by a P90 sprayer or random nade... What killed it is that it gets repetitive and people have no objective except kill so they just camp somewhere, no tactics involved.

Sigh when will people stop playing TDM, yes CoD4 gets tiring if you don't have a clear objective like plant/defend the bomb. I still don't get these people that play on 60 player hardcore TDM servers 24/7

BF ftw. Though atm I'm playing Crysis Wars alot, big maps + vehicles + rocket launchers = fun It can be pretty similar to BF actually, 5 people getting a jeep capturing alien sites together is awesome

Yeah Crysis Wars is great

And you have to play Search and Destroy mode in COD4. Then it plays sorta like CS, plant defend bomb, out when dead. However its the mod with tactics and teamwork in COD. TDM is just mindless chaos lol

Been playing CoD4 since it came out and I love it.
Try new gamemodes and play with people who are wicked good at it. Only then is it awesome.

Most people aren't even aware of the gameplay that exists out there... CoD4 has like three types of players in its MP. The competition players (ProMod and such), your clan/community member, take BFE for example, who just like some teamwork and don't want to be too hardcore, and then your really casual gamer.

Most casual gamers will play the game a bit... not even take a look at any communities, clans, mods, or even different gamemodes. play in 50+ player TDMs, and say "This game is bleh."

Time to branch out guys.

Cod4 is a great game, if you know how to play according to your tastes. Exactly like the above posts say, TDM does get boring fast. I play search and destroy, which makes the game much more intense and interesting. But even that can get boring.

I will always go back to bf2 until a better game arrives. Bf2 should be the benchmark of all fps's, theres nothing out there that even compares, or at least I have played.

I have the same exact sentiments and the OP here. COD4 is more of a twitch style kind of play. It's all about who has the fastest response time on the smallest most cramped maps in any fps i've ever played. There is no tactic involved. All that is involved is who sees who first and who can throw nades best. There is no real teamwork to speak of. You're basically trying to survive for more then 15 seconds on these small *** maps and there is no feeling of accomplishment. Sure COD4 has about 15 gamemodes but they all suck.

BF2 for the massive win. Plus the graphics are still great on BF2 though not the best.

Thats why its so popular, because most gamers consider that an important aspect in gaming. One of the skills that one must have to be a good gamer. Every bit as important as any other gaming skill. All the tactics in the world wont save you from someone way faster than you. In gaming or in real life.

And if you dont think reflexes are just as important in real life, tell that to M. Ali who could throw 6 jabs a second.

COD4 is spray and pray nade fest, if that's what you consider skill then, 90% of gamers can do that. I don't consider killing 5 people with nades/claymores/P90's earning an airstrike and getting those 2 extra kills for the chopper to be consider skill.

Even tho people whore choppers jets it still takes some skill to use them in BF2, not press 6 on your keyboard and camp in a corner while aimbot copter kills everyone.
