need help with ping

i just recently started playing bf2 again. but when i used to play i had a cable connection. ive since moved and we cant get cable or dsl out here, so ive got an alltel wireless modem. basically my ping now sucks. my avg download speeds are about 200kbs but my ping is averaging 200 -250.
do these little internet connection booster programs work? ive seen a few online but dont know which i should get any good suggestions?

200kbs as in 25kBps? I always get confused..
If you are downloading at 200kBps then that is about the same as me, and my ping averages 30-50ms.
Basically your download speed has little to do with your ping, so booster programs would probably not work.
If you are downloading at 25kBps (4x dialup speed), then that might be a problem.
If you are not on dialup, dsl or cable, what are you using?

He said alltel wireless modem which i think he meant to say alltel wireless internet.
BTW Dude my friend has the same net and he gets the same ping and lags like hell.The thing to do is get better net no program can help u sorry

you'll probably never get good pings with that wireless. I would suggest using qtracker and see if you can find any good pinging servers.

Yea try qtracker it found about 10 servers were i have the lowest ping.
