Do you wish there were mirror games in CoH? This meaning the ability to play brits vs brits, axis vs axis etc?

They shouldn't implement it in though so they can keep the 'realism'

I think it would just add more variety. Could cause stalemates which would require tactics to overcome + it would mean the choice of Commander Tree is vital :]Comment

Yeah I thought about that, like the unholy alliance in Red Alert. Could be nice and like Cpt.Pieman said, add more variety.
But in the other hand the fact that you know you will always face the axis and allies and not individual faction/race like zerg vs zerg is nice too, you feel the faction are unique and you're part of something. Fighting werh against werh feel depersonalized.Comment

There is a mod, or several mods should i say around on Moddb for that, i would not like it, just merely because it destroys the realism, and two teams using the same army category kinda pulls the fun :pComment

Well in Dawn of War you can play any army against anyone. But also that is part of their universe, anyone can fight against anyone. I seriously doubt there were many troops in WWII who turned against their own army. Thats why it would destroy it for me.Comment

Just like in Starcraft when you have to go up against the Terran empire and have General Duke & Jim Raynor on his motorcycle extraordinaire putt around while launching splash grenades and pooing spider mines....
The command tree is a good one. Like for instance - say you play a 2v2 game and you destroy an HQ. Be fun if you could repair it and start building that dude's army stuff......with him dead of course. Then you could be playing Airborne USA with say a V1 rocket at your disposal.....
On a side note, it'd be cool if you could capture buildings like in Red Alert. In CoH you can already neutralize an upgraded baracks (so it becomes an empty house) why not take command of your enemy's motorpool - should he wish you to have it?Comment

Although I think your ideas sound cool I would think it to be too unrealistic and would be put off. The groups of russians who rebel or maybe a group of germans who dont want to be nazi or americans who likes it better in europe would all be too small groups to have an endless amount of battles with.
And thats the bad part with having you units produced on-map. I really doubt there were any halftrack factories captured by the allies which were used in the same battle to produce ally halftracks. :p
I guess I'm just a too historically correct/boring person to be able to accept this stuff.
On the other hand I wouldn't mind playing russians versus germans on a normandy map.Comment

Hey I have an idea for a mod, a war started between Hans and Ulrich after a long discussion about what true coffee is. Then the story spread and men became divided between the cappucino and espresso, a terrible war was about to begin.
For the gameplay you just have to replace all fuel by coffee. The more complicated the units the more coffee you need because men didn't sleep well after all that tiring discussion about true coffee and need something to help them focus. Especially for the Tiger : if you don't have enough coffee you know what Klaus will do to statue. Between Yankees an Brits, it's even worse as brits prefer tea (the scots need special control points with whisky though)!
(For germans speaker, the guy speak about food in general not coffee right?)Comment
