The statement from DICE that said "there is no BF3" went on to say, in the same interview, that a new "hardcore PC" Battlefield game is going to be announced soon.

People are just referring to that game as BF3. So what DICE has basically said is that there's a new Battlefield game coming to PC (not Heroes) but it's not going to be called Battlefield 3. I think we're just calling it that around here because we don't know the name of it.

I wanna get a HardCore game without it going to far into the future or into the past just based on modern times or relatively close future. BFH will be a free game so DICE need to make profit somehow and I don't think they will make that much of avatars and item selling... BF3 or whatever it's called will come probably at the end of next year, it usually takes 9 months from the official announcement of a game, for it to be released so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.
