Was watching this trailer and noticed the dogs. Then at 00:53 notice a dog kills him and someone is credited with the kill. Interesting

EDIT: also notice kill messages at 02:03. Artillery seems to be something else one can obtain.

Recon plane - 3 kill streak
Artillery - 5 kill streak
Dogs - 7 kill streak
A lot of gaming websites already had the kill streak information and even more information about the game.

Correct. Basically Voop, compared to COD4, recon plane replaces UAV, artillery replaces the airstrike, and dogs replace the chopper.

i think that was always going to be the case!! lets be honest cod4 single player is as close as you are going to get in terms a realism!

& the multi play side of things has very little to do with realism:cry:
i wasn't expecting cod5 to be any different.

You might want to check around at some other games.

Sure, some perks are teh ghey, but you can't deny over 10 million copies being sold...the numbers speak quite loudly, not to mention the tons of awards for the game also.

To WaW not being realistic, it depends on your definition. I mean, you could say this game is more realistic than CoD4 b/c of the blood, the dismemberment of body parts, the way people die when they're on fire, the grittiness, etc, but I do agree it's not a 'realism shooter' by any means.

That's why it's going to be great! CoD was kind of stiff, and Grey Matter came in and made CoDUO; more loose, more on the fun, arcade side and it had tons of people playing it for over a year. Than, CoD2 was kind of a step back (not just my opinion, but others' also), and CoD4 brought back some of the fun, but I believe CoD:WaW is going to step it up further as Grey Matter is part of Treyarch now. (I didn't count CoD3, it was only a console game :P)

Plus, could you be in a better position as a game developer? You start with an engine that people like, it's great, kinks are pretty much worked out, and for almost 2 years, you get to create content, actual content and even enhance the engine and other parts of the game. Sure, the pressure is there from CoD4 doing well, and that's also a hindrance in that you have to keep some of the stuff from CoD4, hence the 3 kill streak abilities you receive and some of the perks. But, I believe they have done a good job in keeping some of the stuff from the uber successful predecessor / creating new content and ideas.

This game will be good, it will be great, prepare. :evil: :)

Because the videos are of magazine reviewers playing the Beta. They have a limited time with the game, and they often only have basic knowledge of the series. They don't have time (or patience) to mess around with rifles and such - weapons that require a higher amount of skill and/or produce a slower pace of gameplay.

They need to get in there and try to experience all of the major features and modes of the game, and get a feeling of action for their reviews. That's the other thing...even if other weapons were used in these tests, it's the run 'n gun of smgs that produces the most intense, fast-paced action videos....and that's the kind of thing Activision wants so that they can attract as much of the fickle COD4 Console fan-base as possible and generate sales.

It's all about marketing and capturing the attention of their biggest fan-base. They know that a lot of the people who liked past WWII-era COD's are probably going to get the game...they are trying to capture the COD4/Halo people who thrive on fast-paced run 'n gun action.

Too bad the reviewer doesn't have more skillz. I know others, and I do it to, who play on the faster side of things with a bolt action. And as Zuke...I believe is his NEW name , knows that you can get cool vid shots that way also. But agreed on everything you said.

I personally think bolties are the most fun and actionfilled weapons in WWII games... I always run and gun with them if possible, nothing beats cracking off some close quarters headshots

But you're right, gotta keep the console players happy :|
