    supplies!

in an off-year North American (US + Canada) game sales topped $1.1 billion which many times larger than the UK and Japan markets. as a developer i'd see that as an obligation.]

and a US country wouldn't have to make it pro-US either. its called freedom of speech.

establishment! establishment! you always know whats best.

In BF2 there are no terrorists (well insurgents in SF) but the main MEC team is not some terrorist organization, its a fully functioning 'western' style army.

Yeah it's supposed to be a coalition of Arabic countries and probably includes Persia as well.Persia isn't an Arabic country of course but the MEC uniforms and some of their badges resemble very much to the Persian army and especially their Green Berets forces a lot from what I've seen in photos.

And of course yeah the Insurgents are supposed to be Arab rebels/terrorists and the Rebels are supposed to be Chechens. And they have a different Russian accent if you notice it so I guess that's what is implied.

I actually find all that cool because after all,war sells. It's sad but it's true.Whenever there is a war we watch the news every day and we get excited.Of course we feel sad and we hate the deaths and all the misery and sadness and pain the war causes but you have to admit...you get excited or at least interested when you hear on the news about a war.For example the war in Afghanistan...that made me play a lot of Counterstrike back then...the war in Iraq,I was playing Ghost Recon and its expansion near that time. Then more wars more conflicts small or big...you go to youtube and you watch some videos of the war in Chechnya or the Iraq-Iran war,the war in Iraq, the war in Lebanon, the war in Georgia, the war in Somalia ...you watch a couple of movies as well...and there. That's all you need to go and play Battlefield 2 for hours and love it.

That doesn't mean we love war.We hate war in real life but we love war in PC games and only.Right?

Bingo. Games give us the opportunity to do the things we can't/shouldn't do in real life.

Back to the original issue, however, I'd like to ask the following question. What would the reaction be in the US market if we titled a game "Jihad - War on America?" Again, this is mostly dealing with product placement. Battlefield 2 is a fairly bland, nondescript, uncharged name.
