We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Its time for my clan to make a move. Its getting way to big and I need to extend the the small clan website to a large one! My clan is on gametracker clans and guilds and I wanna make a BF2142 clan website like UAF and -ATU- and others.... So how can I make a clan website like them? I feel left out abit
So I just wanna make a website so its noticable then just on another website....
I'm not sure did i understant right what you asked for... You want to move from gametracker and make 100% self made clan website with it's own web address? Like totalgamingnetwork.com, ea.com and so on?
If that is so, you can:
a) Learn some html & php and build up your own site.
b) Use one of the free templates (like Joomla or Phpnuke) and learn & build your own 2142 theme for them or hope to find one.
c) Pay for the template (vbulletin) and learn & build your own 2142 theme for them or hope to find one.
Find a webhosting/webhotel service that suits best for your clan (based on size and how actively people use the site) there are some free and then there are some that you have to pay for (monthly fee) - i prefer the ones you've to pay for.
Most of the webhosting services also sell web address either as a separate service or along with the webhotel service. (around 10-20 euros per year, if i don't remember wrong)
I'm not sure is my answer something you was looking for, but i hope it helps at least little.

I think that about sums up your options. When we started out I looked through a bunch of things and then decided to learn Joomla. It is pretty easy to pick up and you can do quite a bit with it. We use Hostmonster as they offer a huge amount of storage and bandwith for a very reasonable price. We need that because we also keep the BR files from our servers on that host instead of our dedicated box.
Start by finding a good host and register a url through them. Then you can look at what Content Management System you want to use. Play around with different ones until you find one you like. Make sure you see what kind of templates are available out there for them unless you are savvy enough to build your own. Also, see what third party programs are compatible with your CMS. You will at least want to find a good Forum program. There are plenty of good options that are free so unless you want to spend a bunch of money, go for those ones. If you see a site that you like, ask them what they are using. It's a learning process but that is a lot of the fun.
$3.50 a month for 1 gb of space and 5 gb of bandwidth; with a small/medium clan site, I don't think you'll break 5 gb a month. For an extra $4 a month, you get an additional 25 gb of bandwidth. Again, I'd start small and build up.
As for your forum solution, while I'm an avid vBulletin fan, it does cost a significant amount of money, so I would suggest going with PHPBB3. It's a very feature-rich forum right out of the box with intuitive controls and an easy-to-manage style. You also have a variety of portal systems which would allow your forums to manage your front page and styles so you can tweak the look of your forum. Support on the official forums is pretty good as well.
I don't wanna pay. Lots of websites that are clans for Battlefield 2142 don't pay nor donate. Im not making a server so I can pay millions of dollars. All I wanna know is were or how can I make a clan website like this one?

Hosting isn't free, but the CMS systems are. I would chose either Joomla or E107. Joomla has more features and a larger community, but e107 is easier to learn to use. Both have a built in forum system.
Well I don't know, my buddy has a server and he made a website for the clan and server and he didn't pay nothing at all for the website. It has all the details like -ATU-'s clans website. HOW CAN I MAKE ONE WITHOUT PAYING? Oh yeah and im not setting a guild up on xfire. Someone already made xfire.
You have been given some very good options by the guys that have posted here. If you can't scrape together $4 a month then you are going to have a tough go at building and running a clan.
