No 2142 is not much more than a mod of BF2, same engine.

And its because BF:BC is on a new engine that many do call it BF3. Just because its for consoles doesnt change that.

What question did he ask? Why no PC version? That wasnt really a question he was looking for an answer too im sure. More like an observation..

Anyway, the point is, nobody likes grammar nazis or people who are constantly correcting people, so expect that reaction most times.

The thing is i think its pretty likely the next PC version of Battlefield will be called Battlefield 3. We don't call BF2142, BF 2 -2142 do we? So why call Bad Company, Battlefield 3: Bad Company when its just BFBC? (Confused yet? Cos I am :p)

So i think someone pointing out that fact was justified. His reaction however I think wasn't. But hey, we just don't agree on this. So we should leave it on that really :thumbsup:

Well hey his reaction is natural, no one wants to be out'ed in public for being wrong. You could have easily let him know the correct name by answering his question like this.

BF:BC was made for consoles because its mainly an SP game, or something to that effect. :) You can do the same thing with spelling mistakes, without pointing out hes wrong. All im saying is you are asking for a reaction when you correct people publicly.

And for one thing, people think! I don't know If EA is coming out with
Battlefield 3:Bad Company:|:For PC. Sooo therefore I looked all-over the internet to see If they were. Some people said It was to annoy PC gamers for no reason at all. Another is that they don't know or that they say "Just get used to a Xbox360 or PS3 gamepad and play it on there." I disagree. Cause I use a PC gamepad (which I'm pretty good with it) for a game called:Blazing Angels For PC, PS3, Wii, and Xbox360. Very fun 3D game, anyways more is that they are another saying get used to them not having it for PC. Well to that I disagree also cause I'm good at PC game but sometimes I get carried away and call people '****ing hackers' Which I don't mean, I'm just a little carried away into the game.

So sorry if I insulted anyone in this forum and I'm asking for forgiveness:shakehands::five: and if we can start all over again and we can find a way if Battlefield 3:Bad Company is gonna be for PC any-day or any year

Nah I don't see that happen, the "real" bf3 will come out on PC.

I'm looking forward to it, the frostbite engine looks awsome btw.

It has been confirmed Bad Company will not be coming to PS3. However, the engine will no doubt be used in the next game.

It doesn't matter what it's called, because we simply have no idea. They could go and call it Battlefield: Korea or something (similar to what they did with Vietnam).

So, Bad Company 2 has been confirmed for the PC as I'm sure many of us have heard:

I think I'm looking forward to this more than Battlefield 1943 to be honest. The multiplayer of the original Bad Company sounds very much like its PC predecessors:

The Conquest game mode returned to Bad Company due to overwhelming requests from players during the beta testing. Conquest was the prevalent game-mode in many of the preceding Battlefield games, and involves reducing the opponents' "ticket" meter by scoring kills and capturing strategically placed flags.

The game has 25 ranks, each from the U.S. Army (corporal, sergeant, Colonel etc.), much like its PC counterpart, Battlefield 2 (although BF2 uses Marine Corps ranks).

The highest rank (General of the Army) takes 37,000 in-game points, compared to an average of 50-650 per game. Unlock credits may be obtained by ranking up and then the aforementioned credits may be used to unlock weapons.

Seeing as Bad Company did well, I'd imagine the multiplayer of the sequel will be more detailed and hopefully have even more unlockables, etc. If DICE pull off the PC version as well as we'd expect (they do tend to do a good job; see games like Mirror's Edge) this could be pretty awesome. :)
