hey guys i recently uninstalled battlefield 2 because i had downloaded project reality and it seemed to have messed up my battlefield experience(i couldnt join any games on bf2 cause it said i had custom content or something) so i decided to reinstall it today and i find out that it wont work i start installing it and it gets to the part where its installing the common_client.zip in the mods folder and then it stops and a message comes up saying Failed to install battlefield 2, try again from the beginning. ive looked around the web and other people have a similar problem but it just stops at different places for some people. i have a vista 32 and ive uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times on this computer and ive never had any troubles so if anyone has any ideas id be very glad to hear them thanks.

Re: Can't install bf2?????
Try going on an admin account and installing it.. all I can think of. If it works and you want to play it on your account instead of the one that has admin (unless your main one as admin) then you will need to right click the program every time you want to play and click Run as Administrator, it doesn't take long to do that, so don't worry.

Re: Can't install bf2?????
How do you manually uninstall Battlefield 2?
You can manually uninstall the game by removing the files and registry keys associated with it. Be sure to follow these steps exactly as they appear to prevent accidental file/program deletion on your system.
Note: To manually uninstall the Battlefield 2: Euro Force and/or Battlefield 2: Armored Fury booster packs, you must perform a complete uninstall of Battlefield 2 from your system.
To delete the save files:
Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select My Documents.
Right-click the Battlefield 2 folder and select Delete.
To delete the game files (in the default location):
Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select My Computer.
Double-click the C: drive.
Double-click the Program Files folder.
Double-click the EA GAMES folder.
Right-click the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Close all open windows.
Right-click the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
To edit the registry and remove Battlefield 2:
Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select Run.
Type regedit in the text field and click OK.
Click File and select Export.
Name the file "Backup" (without the quotation marks) and make sure the Export Range is set to All.
Click Save. (You will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.)
Click the plus (+) sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click the plus (+) sign next to Software.
Click the plus (+) sign next to DICE.
Right-click the Battlefield 2 folder and select Delete.
Right-click the Battlefield 2: Armored Fury folder (if applicable) and select Delete.
Click the plus (+) sign next to Electronic Arts.
Right-click any Battlefield 2 folders and select Delete.
Click the plus (+) sign next to Microsoft.
Click the plus (+) sign next to Windows.
Click the plus (+) sign next to CurrentVersion.
Click the plus (+) sign next to Uninstall.
Right-click the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B} and select Delete.
A Confirm Key Delete window will appear; select Yes.
Close the Windows Registry Editor.
Go to the following folder: C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information.
If you cannot find this folder you may have to go to Tools > Folder Settings and click the setting to "SHOW hidden folders."
Find the folders with the exact same values as the registry keys above and delete them.
Right-click the Recycle Bin and select Empty Recycle Bin.
Battlefield 2 should now be completely removed from your system.
