  • AF screwed you up, but don't want to reinstall?

There is a simple way to fix this. Note it will involve rendering AF as good as a pile of fresh puke, but it will allow you to gain back BF2.

    1. Go to "Run" in the start menu
    2. Type "Regedit" without the quotes
    3. Click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    4. Click on Software
    5. Rename the "Electronic Arts" file to something else.

Note that this was tested on Vista, so XP might be slightly different.

I'd rather re-install then risk messing up all my Electronic Arts games.

No. This will just disable any EA downloader games. Or, you could just rename the AF files and leave the others alone.

First rule to playing in the registry if you've never played with the registry:

          Don't play in the registry.
