    Dual Screen - sorta.

Hi guys, question for a friend.

Is there a way to have dual screen with CoD4 playing in one, and ModernRcon and TS etc in the other.

BUT instead of Alt+Tabbing (minimizing CoD4), just do something to change control over to the screen with your desktop on, to check TS or change server settings etc.

Is there anyway to do it and keep CoD4 running on the other screen?

    Yes and no.

Yes- You can have dual screens with CoD4 in your primare and TS/ModernRcon in your secondary.

No- You cannot change control without alt+tabbing.

The reason why is because CoD4 has control of the mouse focus. There is no way to break that focus without exiting or minimizing the game. Im not sure of the programming involved, but its like having the mouse stuck inside a box and alt+tabbing frees it.

Now I havent tried this and not entirely sure if it would make any difference, but if you played CoD4 in a window instead of full screen, that may work a little better. He would still have to alt+tab, but the window could be brought back up.

Now I am curious and will play with that and see what happens

EDIT: I played with the settings and found that making CoD4 windowed works like a charm. I can glide from the game onto the desktop without doing anything.

I opened the console in CoD4 and used "r_fullscreen 0" and then ran "vid_restart" to pop it into windowed mode.

      Good job Crunch!

Is it hard though staying on the game window when you actually want to play? lol
