Just bought a new Logitech G5 mouse to play Battlefield 2 with. Previously used a MX700 cordless and it worked fine.
My new G5 - I have assigned a thumb button to the "Q" keystroke, which pulls up the commo panel and lets you select a communication to your mates. When I press the button on the new G5 mouse (in game) there is a delay before the commo appears and sometimes it does not appear at all. Using the "Q" on the keyboard, the commo panel appears immediately and disappears as soon as I let off the key. But the mouse thumb button (with "Q" assigned) has a ton of lag and renders the mouse unplayable for me.
Can anyone help me out? This thumb button keystroke worked fine with my old MX700 cordless mouse. I can't imagine what is causing the lagging with my "new and improved" mouse.
thanks
