Is it just me, or does PES 08's controls have the console controls on them?

I got my game from www.zest.co.th, and the box clearly said PC DVD, which it is, otherwise I would be able to install it.

But, once the installation is done, I get a game that opens in windowed mode with the control's screen in the XBOX buttons, odd really.

Is the 08 version just a port?

What did raise my doubts, but didn't strike me enough was this:

strange, I bought the retail and it has a wide variety of control customisation

open the setup and then see there, I use a ps2 controller with an adapter and it works great

Odd, this is the only option I get:


I don't have an XBOX thing connected to my computer...

It's as though the store sold me an XBOX port of the game.

that looks like the in game setup, go into your start directory and there should be a setup link that takes you to where you change the video resolutions and has masses on control configuration

Hmm, didn't know about that.

Eitherways, this is what I see, doesn't let me change anything. And the weird thing is, the settings say the game is in full screen mode :S

That's when a player passes a ball infront of a team mate so they can run and sprint to it... it's good for getting around defenders, just through pass to the side and have the guy on the wing sprint up then cross the ball in and score with a bicycle kick or header in the back corner of the goal...

Yea, Pes06 used a PS2 control layout while Pes2008 uses a Xbox360 controller. It's easy to setup though.

It is, but the problem is, my laptop keyboard can't take more than 3 keys pressed at the same time, and sometimes, I need to press more than 3 keys.

... annoying.

BTW, how do you curl the ball while shooting?

For me it's L1 + direction.

I have PS2 style setup :p

Weird. I know what that correlates to on the XBOX setup, but it never seems to work.

It's the "C" key or the "RT" key on the XBOX, with the directional. Rather annoying.

Oh well, atleast I now have the keys in WASD form. Makes it shiet loads easier.
