ok this JUST started happening today but makes it impossible to really play i go onto a server and after 1-3 minutes pb kicks me off.

I changed any program files back to the way they were. my intro movies and stuff are still renamed but i dont think that would do anything do you?

There is the one command you know the pb_sleep 500 thing but im not sure what the default is and then what exactly did you type for that? was it pb_sleep 500 and then pb_writecfg?

i also tried updating but there were no updates available

what gives?

Sometimes a reboot does the trick.
There are servers that kick for a modified Usersettings.con file, but not many.
I doubt the pb-sleep fix would get you kicked.
You could always try deleting the contents of the pb folder, run pbsvc & uninstall, then run pbsvc & install & run pbsetup.

well i sometimes have this issue. uninstall pb and reboot. then install pb and you should be fine.

Clanmod servers usually kick for that, good reason not to edit that file kids.

Yep, you should not edit any files by outside of game, unless you are running a local testing server. I would recommend uninstalling the game and deleting any left over files and reinstalling from scratch, make sure you don't delete your profiles. Once you have reinstalled everything make sure you leave everything at stock settings as there is no need to modify the files and by editing them you are probably getting kicked for md5/cvar violations as the files have been tampered with and are not at their default settings and the md5 mash for the file has changed from the original..

The PB sleep 500 thing will not get you kicked from servers as PB advise people to set PB to 500 on there website.
