How do you get a mic to work on Vista Ultimate with a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer sound card, the sound configurer thing is not even registering when i plug a mic in any slot, help please!

Mine doesn't work on BF2142VoiceSetup.exe but works ingame.
Make sure you mic works in control panel > Sound > Recording or the xfi control panel.
Then try the one ingame, Options > Audio > Start Microphone Test -

interesting, i've never looked at that, maybe i'll try it, the actual ingame one doesn't even move the bar, normally it goes green anyway even if you have no mic, but mine is blank...
