I really hope that this game will be successful. I wouldn't want to see it crash and burn and be a forgotten game.

It won't crash and burn, not with a name like Call of Duty behind it. Look at how popular something like CoD2 still is, it's always going to be a rock solid series.

I hope it's a good game. If it is good, it will be the last WW2 I play.

I take it you mean Treyarch and the less-than-stellar response to COD3?

It's good to be aware, and maybe even a bit skeptical because of the past, but if we can believe Treyarch, they did explain that: a) COD3 was rushed out by Activision, and b) that from the way it was built, a MP mode would not have worked on PC (so the decision was made to scrap it rather than just make a SP game).

Proof will be in the pudding (finished product) of course, but reports from the last event attended by community members was very positive, and that Treyarch were determined to change the perception from COD3.

Don't forget who made COD4. Treyarch is building CODWW off of that framework and engine. :) I think it will play very similar to COD4 (probably a bit slower due to the older weapons), so if you liked that, chances are you'll probably enjoy CODWW.

CoD4 mixed with CoD2 imo. Can't wait to see how it works out :]

                        [cod2>cod4 imo :o]

Thanks for the info! I really haven't looked much into this game. You're making it sound much more promising

Smart man you are whiskey, btw I haven't talked to you in a year!

Remember back before CoD4 was released we were supposed to make a Vancouver clan

I am an avid WWII history buff, and have always enjoyed WWII games(especially RTS). It's nice to see another Pacific theater game, Pacific Assault wasn't all that great IMO.

I really hope this plays out well, I feel like rushing through elephant grass spraying my Thompson and flame thrower.
