You're not complaining though, right? lol

Remember, in interviews they said they used CoD 4's engine, but it's enhanced and they especially enhanced the physics due to the fire they were using and also b/c of seeing more water b/c this is in the Pacific Theater, and also with fire affecting different objects. BASICALLY, since fire is sort of a big thing for Treyarch in this game, I'm sure they wanted it to look good since you'll be seeing a lot of it...or not seeing it if you've already been consumed by it. :p

Oh, and this screenie looks 10x better at home right now on my nice monitor compared to the one at work. It's like I went from a rabbit ears tv to an lcd hd tv lol.

Sources like Best Buy and IGN are giving Nov 11 as the full-version release date. A multiplayer demo/beta is due sometime in Oct.
