We have an announcement!

Battlefield In-Game Server Browser Update

Together with GameSpy and our Ranked Server Providers we have been investigating and working on a solution to recent events which have seen the in-game server browser returning a fraction of the full server list. We are happy to report that as of yesterday evening the server browser has been displaying more servers and is returning to normal. This may take longer to appear in some locations as the new information makes its way around the Internet.

Well, lets hope that everything get fixed soon, or BF2142 will become extinct without players....

I doubt that'll happen unless BF3 somehow outs it. Aside from going about distributing Northern strike all wrong, and scaring alot of BF2 people away with their IGA speil. BF2142 is one hell of a game that'll be around for a few more years I'm sure. :salute:

Nope, they are still having problems with the servers from some of the GSP's showing up in the browser. I understand the whole "This may take longer to appear in some locations as the new information makes its way around the Internet" however I would think that it wouldn't take 12-24 hours to propagate throughout the web.

Yesterday we had three servers showing, this morning two, and now we are back to none of them showing in the Game Browser.

I didn't realize this was still a problem. I played last night and had 67 servers show up in Quick View or whatever it's called.

Maybe it hasn't made it "across the pond" yet. I know that our servers, {DAM}, [-Q-], and man others aren't showing up in game. Not just for me either. The [-Q-] CITY MAPS server is the #1 in the game and they have been running very low player counts since this happened and have been sitting at about 12-14 players all day. The only ones that consistently show up are the ones that have a zero ping.

I'm still only seeing only 40 or so 2142 servers, and I've been playing for an hour or so tonight. I've never seen so many people with 150 ping and above in my life :p

Yep, it is back to only the servers that show a zero ping. The story is that they are still working on it.

Im getting around 50 servers now, which is alot better than the 15 servers I was getting, but still far off from the 200 Im used to.

My recommendation would be to start using x-fire if you aren't already. You can search for servers, filter them according to name, ping, full, empty, etc... You can tag servers as your favorites. It shows you your recent servers. You can add buddies and message them, even if they aren't in the game. It is actually much better than what is built into the game itself.

Who knows if and when they will get this fixed. They thought they had fixed it and that is why two days ago you were seeing a bunch more servers. Then they found out it wasn't really fixed as whole Server Providers weren't having any of their servers show up in the browser so it is back to only those servers with a zero ping are showing up.
