what patches to install

I have the 1.0 patch right now. Do i need to download the 1.1 and 1.2? Im currently downloading the 1.4 and 1.41

You only need the 1.41 full patch to be completely up to date.

Make sure you download the Highway Tampa map as well together with 1.41.

The install order is: bf2 > 1.41 > highway tampa

or if you have special forces, armored fury, or euro forces:

bf2 > sf >ef/af > 1.41 > highway tampa

if you have everything though it gets a little hairy. i just did a reformat yesterday and you need to apply the 1.41 twice not to mention the patch SF automatically installs before it even installs the expansion pack.

I've heard people say that before, but I've done it the way I suggested a couple times and it worked fine. *shrugs*.

if you have the time, do it the long way.. less problems.

yeh, but if you have the complete collection, it does is automaticaly for you (powers way)

You only have to patch before EF if it says you do; EF requires at least patch 1.2 to run (since that's when the EU army was added to the game). When it was first released I believe it would refuse to install if you weren't patched.
