    Long sight-in time/minimap

Is the long sight-in time supposed to be realistic or is it just a workaround for the whole "need to wait 2 seconds before sights are accurate" thing?

Oh and is putting minimap transparency on 100% and playing all the time with it out considered cheating? Or would it be more akin to turning lighting down to see dark areas more clearly?

From my experience with airsoft guns and scopes (ok not real, but gives an idea) yes it does seem pretty realistic. However there are many things bf2 can“t do regarding situational awareness and such.

      Both.

I believe it was also done to give iron sights/red dots an advantage in CQC.
