Re: It's behind you!
A story behind the picture. Behind you can see my squad falling back towards this compound after a heavy firefight in the mountains. The insurgent was trying to flank us but didnt last long
The mod is Project Reality 0.8 which came out last Friday - www.realitymod.com -

It's just released, give them time. I'm sure they will discover soon that the pin has to be out.Comment

Re: It's behind you!
lol, its a nade from vBF2, made by the DICE team who made bf2, isn't made by us and therefore, we can't change it without making a brand new nade without braking the agreement when you install BF2, and to make a new nade from scratch, in terms of man hrs, will take months of work for a bunch of guys to do. Ie, not worth it to remove a pin... :pComment

Pfft.. 2 hours to make a grenade, 20 min. to set it up and export it.. What will take a little time is the animations to make him pull that pin. Hence, the reason, I would guess that they left it in there.Comment

Re: It's behind you!
depending on the artists, a grenade could take upto a month to make with ppl working on there real jobs etc. Got model, skin, etc. Importing wouldn't be too hard, I could probably import a nade, in fact I have, I imported the Molotov which is basically the same thing :pOriginally posted by (EoDDev)TrahnLeePfft.. 2 hours to make a grenade, 20 min. to set it up and export it.. The 1p animations already remove the pin, the problem is the "projectile", DICE didn't bother to make a separate model for the nade projectile with the pin removed, just used the same 3p model as you see in the players hand, that's why it has the pin in
but still not worth the time and effort to make a new nade, ppl dont just stand there looking at the pin when some one throws a nade at them :pComment

Re: It's behind you!
ehhh no you should not jump to conclusions, our pr.exe is excatly the same as the fh2.exe in the way it works which you can find the source code for it on there site where all it dose is run the bf2.exe though it, with just forcing BF2 to use our shaders and that is it. We have not modified the BF2.exe in any way or cloned it so we are not braking anything.Comment
