Thanks for that wonderful insight into what servers you have been banned from.

We get it, you're good and you get banned for no reason.

It's bad, but basically it happens to everyone and it's nothing to start a new thread over. I have played FPS games for about a year and a half now, I'm way better than the average pubber in most games but I suck at BF2 and still manage to get banned from servers, everything from aimbot to wallhax

This must be the millionth thread on the same subject. Just a heads up.

What's with all the negativity? I fail to see how this thread is any more or less pointless than the other crap we shuffle around here. Play nice.

@ OP, why are you upset at getting banned from a few servers? For one thing, their are like 3,000 BF2 servers with at least 1/6 of them having people in them at any given time (From what i have seen). Also, by getting banned, it also, to some extent says that you are good. Although some admin are just retarded and ban anyone that kills them once.

u can has good engrish skilz?

And just because there are 1000 populated BF2 servers doesn't mean anything. When you play vehicles and 75% of the servers are infy only Karkand, Mashtuur, and Jalalabad, it's slim pickings for finding airmap servers. I've been banned from every 24/7 Dalian server in the last 2 years for accused hacks. It's annoying to have to buy 3 copies of the same game to play online because admins don't like getting killed in their own server.

Re: Banning People Without Reason = Stat Padding

I'll preface the following statement by saying, yes, there are admins out there who shouldn't be admins, but because of their clan affiliation or because of their pocketbook, they have administrative authority.

Disclaimer: The following is my personal opinion on this thread and does not represent the position of the Total Gaming Network or MyInternetServices.com.

With that said, to all the administrators who banned SuperiorityComplex, you beat him. He's mad, angry, and not going to take it in stride anymore. Instead, he will sink back into the familiar surrounding of internet bulletin boards and complain about it. This complaint will be read by many, cared for by none.

He will rehash the same argument made by many of the elite players of the community, saying "Servers should be free! n00b admins should /kill!" And we shall have heard it all before; its fiery rhetoric will affect no one in the community in a position to make a difference -- the server administrators whom you criticise.

This begs the fundamental question: Why do you play this game? From your writings, Superiority, you play to be better than everyone. Do these server administrators not play with the same aim in mind? Why should they curb their fun for you when, in the majority of the cases, they are funding your fun for a certain period of time? Some play and administrate to enhance their own superiority complex. Few will play with solely the happiness of the public in mind. In such cases, when change is required, the existing player base digs their collective heels in the sand and bluntly refuses, leading to internal strife, chaos, and liberal application of the ban stick. Further, many of the "pubbies" of whom you make constant mincemeat, don't enjoy getting obliterated every time they spawn. These players will often times leave the server, never to return. Ultimately, this will empty the server of all but the precious handful of elite players (Sloi and Cynic, I know you can attest to this), and any benefit the server owners and administrators may have earned would be for naught. Ultimately, you [the elite] are left to your private practice servers and ladders, completely isolated from the rest of the community. If you achieve this status, you have accomplished your goal of proving you are simply that much better than your average John Q. Player.

From my reading, I gather you want to insult those people, not request a reevaluation of their practices. Perhaps you believe it is a futile struggle to ask for change. In some cases, it is, but I'm sure there's some server somewhere populated by all the best Battlefield 2 has to offer. Go look for your Holy Grail, or failing that, start your own elite chopper server. Beware, however, of the plague which is hypocrisy; it can be lethal in such social turmoil.

              --
Ok, done with my opinion; back on the timeclock.

It would appear some people are not familiar with our board rules. Please read this exerpt from section four:
Spelling Police WILL NOT be tolerated, period! If you have nothing to add to a topic except to point out the spelling deficiencies of other members then do not post; grammar police are not welcome here. However, this does not mean you have the given right to post lazily and make it unnecessarily difficult for others to understand your posted messages.
It is rather easy for me to understand everything which has been written in this thread. Those of you who are undertaking such grammar correction and lambasting, cease.

I can't begin to imagine how many times I've joined a Dalian pub with 45+ players in it and whittled it down to about 12 players in less than 15 minutes, oh man I miss 24/7 Dalian [DMOC] :salute:

Re: Banning People Without Reason = Stat Padding

When server administrators choose to run a server ranked globally by EA, they are expected to administrate fairly and are held to a standard higher than themselves. It is NOT their administrative right to ban anyone they see fit and doing so is, and should not be considered by us, to be anything less than STAT PADDING. The end does NOT justify the means and if you think it does feel free travel back in time and move to Soviet Russia.

And btw I actually make YouTube videos and I guess a lot of people get pissed off when they see this kind of stuff because Team K[*]K's server was attacked so many times after the video posting that I decided to change the video titles.

Sure it is. When I worked at Total ROE that was a big complaint but it is in EA's ROE that a server admin may ban people for whatever they wish. And please abide by our forum rules. Dont post in all caps.

They can ban people for whatever they want and nothing will stop them but that doesn't mean they should and it is still statpadding.

well ea roe is crap anyway and i didn't post in all caps.

please refer here (clicky clicky) for the proper treatment of roe/roc admins. <-- good times

Doesn't mean they should? Is stat-padding? You're a whiny one, arent you.

Give it up mate, the ROE is in place for a reason and as long as an admin follows it it's fair game. The game has been out too long for anyone to give a damn and it seems you havent caught on that the way its played now is how it will remain until the servers are down.

Now, as many people have said, this is simply a rant because you wanted a place to show that you are an exceptional player.

So, an admin can ban a player in a statpadding or knife only server for not following the rules (even though these are clearly against the ROE), just as much as a legit admin can ban someone for hacking, glitching, TKing, .... ?
Hmmm... sounds like whole idea of an admin is a sham.

It is my understanding that an admin can remove you for any reason he sees fit. They can be pricks and we may not agree with their bullsh*t, but it appears to be their prerogative.

You can thank EA for giving server admins the right to do as they please. Just another well thought out "business" decision, it seems...
