0.8 installation help

I need help with the installation and thought i would ask here as their forums seem to be down at the moment!
I uninstalled 0.75 and then installed core followed by levels.
Now whenever i try to join a server i just crash to desktop. The game starts up fine so I can see the new menus ect but just happens when I try to join a server!
Help please because i really want to try this new version!

hey Coxy.

are you sure your joining a v0.8 server and not a v0.75 server? they may show up as a server you can join (ie, not red) since the menu dose not take into account mod versions, only the vBF2 version your running...

Also what map is the server running your trying to join?

Also, are you running in 800x600 rez? if so, then that will cause you to crash, only found out about that recently, none of our testers run in 800x600

wow that was quick Rhino!

Its not the rez as i'm running 1080x800.
I tried the [mrs] server and one other and both failed, i'm sure one of them had Muttrah City running and therefore had to be v0.8.
I'm off out now (didn't expect a reply so fast!) but will try again when I get back!

Where did you download from?

Also, you do have the 1.41 patch right?

I have the same problem!! Whenever I join a server it crashes to desktop as well. I checked the PR website and it said it was because my resolution was too low, but when I made adjusted it, the problem continued. I've talked to lots of people who have the same problem, and none of us think it has to do with resolution. Someone better come up with a solution fast, because alot of people seem to have this problem.

This works for me so i can now play the game! WOOP!

However i have no text under the headings on the map loading screen so I'll see if anyone can fix this problem now!

I had the same problem and just changed resolution up from 800x600 and it fixed it for me.
