BF2142 VOIP Troubles
None of my microphones seem to be recognised by BF2142. When I open BF2142VoiceSetup.exe, no matter what microphone I use, it does not respond to my voice. The same thing happens when I test it in game. I have changed the Voice Recording devices in control panel, and tested things from my sound card's microphone jack, to an Xbox 360 headset. None of them seem to work, although they function normally for things like Team Speak and Ventrillo. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Go to you control panel and into the sound section. Is there a tab for recording and a list of devices. Example - microphone, aux, line in etc. If so try disabling everything but your mic.

Some motherboards with Realtek can run either HD or AC97, HD doesn't work with bf voip AC97 does.Comment

i had onboard realtek and it crashed with voip. i got a x-fi xge and i don't have the problem anymore, but i prefer to disable voip anyways. can't stand screaming kiddy voices.
