Blank/Black PB_SS

When taking a series of PB_SS on one player , at the default command every 240 secs (i think) I've gotten two sets come back with the player info but a black SS . They all come up black , one series had 8-10 ... another had probably 15+ all black . Has happened on two seperate occasions , one player I am very confident had an enhancement of some nature , the other I just wanted to check out . Seemed odd . All other screenies come out fine , allthough I need to mess w/ shot size a bit .

black or blank ss's are hacks i believe.

They are caused by driver issues, they are inconclusive for hacks. The only way you could be sure on someone who had black SS's would be to spectate them.

You can setup your server to stream for cheats. You can go to pbbans.com or punksbusted.com. They are two of the biggest.

You mean pbbans.com and punksbusted.com :).

Unfortunately it is very hard to tell if someone is hacking from the black screenshots as it could be a driver issue or the hack program's built in screenshot blocker.

I guess to be safe after you get 4 or more blank or black screenshots and spectating them, they play unusual kick/ban them from your server with a message of update your drivers.

98% of my pb_ss come out as they should . When I do get a series of Black SS , its only with one player at a time .

For instance ... say I have a clan in my server , and I use the clans tags a the keyword/wildcard , I get good SS from all their players except one (the one that seemed "fishy")

Or , as in the case last night , I took a series on one player and all of them came back black > thats happened with two guys now that just screamed "better have a second look at me" with abnormal ability .

Yes , I am aware obviously of pbbans.com and punksbusted.com as we all are . But being unable to trac a player via the SS tool is disturbing and was wondering aloud if those willing to cheat had found a way around SS to not get wiped , or if this is a known problem with pb_ss and I am just learning it for myself ?

If the screenshot is black, just check the guid. Any letters other than a,b,c,d,e,f is a false guid. Submit those ones.:thumbsup:

I got banned from a few servers in bf2 and 2142 for having blank pb screens damn vista

black SS can happen on vista if you have AA on if you turn if of the SS will come out fine.

or the video card drivers aren't updated some people don't always update there video driver's
