Attachment and other things you wish were in COD4

I've been thinkin' about this a while, and although IW will probably never do any new weapon attachments, I just think it would be cool to have a shotgun attachment. Another attachment I was thinking of, is tear gas nade launcher or the like similar to BF2 special forces. The last thing I can think of now is a clip attachment. Kinda like bandolier only doubling the ammo in the clip, but disabling the ability of using your first perk.

Post some or your own within the possibility that it could be in COD4, not ridiculous the would never be in COD4 like the BFG or something.

I want a chaingun with no recoil + silencer :o

Actually I can't think of anything new I would want :/

I was thinking 'yeah, silencers for scopes!' but that would be dire when other people used them.

i would like the scope from the sp game & the option to use a silencer on the sniper rifles like the sp game.
it makes no sense to me that they have not added this to The mp side of things:cry:

Nope, nothing. I like the guns better without attachments anyway and adding silencers to sniper rifles could easily make them OP. Especially M21, which takes an extremely small amount of aim already.

scope silencers would be unbalanced as it would be very hard to locate and flank snipers while they picked you off.

Things like this ruin the game balance drastically.. and can cause unintended and unforseen consequences.. thats why they (like most companies) don't like to introduce something so close to the core gameplay..

Yet, thats why there are modifications. AIX for BF2, for instance.. adds a ton of cool stuff, but its not very balanced.

yeah silenced snipers are way to unbalanced same with noob tube with silencer and scope... would be just stupid

This is why you play test them for a long time. Look at what valve is doing with new weapons in TF2. Each one adds a interesting effect, but none are any better then the previous weapons.

The argument can be made that IW did play-test weapons with multiple attachments in COD4 (including a silenced sniper rifle) before release, decided that they were overpowered, and therefore did not include them in the final version.

..

For those who don't know, there are a couple of mods out there on custom servers that provide a silenced sniper rifle, replace some of the MP sights with those seen in the SP missions, allow a full-auto G3, and add at least 1 weapon (AT4, I believe) also seen in SP.

I just want to be able to have multiple attachments on the one gun, and a silencer for the sniper rifles..
