Looking to expand my library of games, need some advice

Ok, so now that I got a part time job, some of this money is burning a hole in my pocket (checking account).

I have always loved multiplayer games ever since I got into PC gaming. So it isn't a surprise that I have generally stuck with MP games. But I am also thinking of going into some single player games, but I demand a lot of replay value, along the lines of never winter nights 2, the idea of playing user made levels is intriguing, or Garry's mod with so many mods for it to create whatever you want.

My current collection is as follows:

    CS:Source
    CS 1.6
    CS: Condition Zero
    Battlefield 2
    Battlefield 2142
    Team Fortress 2
    Call of Duty 4
    America's Army
    Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory
    WoW (in before WoW sucks)
    Garry's mod 10
    Day of Defeat Source
    Half Life 2 Death Match
    Guild Wars
    Various source mods

I am also planning on getting these games when they come out:

    BF3
    Left 4 Dead
Natural Selection 2 (maybe, haven't heard much about it)

I think I have the online fps titles covered, thinking about getting ut2k4, but I am quite satisfied what I have. What I need to do as I stated before is to broaden my horizons, such as RTS (kind of intimidated by it, don't have any experience and all the micros seem overwhelming) or a open world adventure.

So what do you guys think would be some good additions?

Thanks a bunch, and if this is the wrong section to be posting this I apologize.

For RTS try Defcon for shear simplicity, WiC is worth a look along with all the classics. You might want to try playing sandbox/cammobox for BF2 (Not sure if they're populated any more mind you) it's a pretty good laugh when your bored.

    Trackmania United Forever FTW!

Orange Box games, i.e. Half life series is awesome! Bioshock is well worth the buy great graphics/atmosphere of gameplay.

Good choice with GMOD10 i just got it via Steam it rox and is way better than GMOD9!

Brothers in Arms, awesome SP gameplay never tried MP though.

Company of Heroes, very good WW2 RTS action!

Crysis for SP is okay if you have the PC to run it.

Day of Defeat Source MP is aweosme, especially with custom weapons from FPSBanana.com!

Swat4 and its exp pack are great for some tactical action its MP is somwhere between 6 to 7 out of 10 imho.

        Rainbow6 Vegas 1 and 2 are okay 7.5/10 i would say.

Gears of War, if u dont own it on Xbox get it on PC, its pretty cool!

Unreal Tournament 3 is just AWES!

Hope i helped out. If you want more info on these games, i will lay em out for ya!

how much replay value is in the half life series, and brothers in arms.

I have seen my friend play half life and stuff, I just want to get games that I will want to keep playing even after I'm done with the campaign, like user created content, or a more open world environment.

Thanks for the replies though guys!

Yep, totally worth the $40 on Steam

I'd say Halflife 2 is well worth the money due to the massive amount of mods there are available. Go for it.

I'm not sure if you're a huge fan of strategy but one way you could drastically increase your library is to get Command And Conquer: The First Decade, it has all of the classics up to C&C: Generals Zero Hour. There is only one newer C&C which is C&C Tibirium Wars, I have it but I don't really care for it, but I love Generals.

Generals is sweet, especially with the mods, go for Company of Heroes you cant go wrong there

Oh and as Ique said HL is packed with Mods, and a helluva alot of them i have quite a few myself. The replay value in BiA is well worth it, it has skirmish battles, as well as LAN and MP function. Dont know much bout mods though in terms of BiA. Um another thing you can do is go to FIlefront.com, they have a list of games, and mods for the games as well :)

Bioshock would be a good pick for a sp game.

^ Yarp! that game is orgasmic in SP, and they irrc are making a prequel and a sequel AFAIK.

Silent Storm, it's a tactical RPG. It's all single player, no multiplayer. The game can be tough at times but there are plenty of cheats for the game.
