As you all probably know, CoD4 is a nightmare for clan tags and makes the scoreboard on matches look a right mess :P

Anyone know if there are any plans in an upcoming patch to allow more characters? Or if there is a way to make it accept your name? I only need an extra 2 characters... Like everyone else I asked, seems to be the magic 2 that it's short of.

Doubt it, Don't think IW will patch this game anymore... and if they did, they would probably just put 2-3 custom maps that have been out for ages into a patch and call them the winners of the map contest... :/

^Agreed. They said they won't be updating the PS3 version anymore because they are knuckling down with cod6 [planning].

So I doubt we'll see anything else at all except new mods.

probably wrong here but if you type

"/name (whatever here)" into the console while in game, cant you get more characters? I know it lets you have like '$%^&*@~#-=+' and stuff in your name...

no, unfortunatley console doesn't extend your name.

It just tell what the 'multiplayer options' tab to do.
