A separate chat and killspam window would be nice

You'd think a teamplay-oriented shooter would have this ancient feature...

It'd make it a lot easier for people who don't use mics, can't hear other's on mics, etc. communicate. I'd like this game a lot more if actually got to chat with more folks- and didn't have to spam the same info in caps in truncated sentences of broken english to let the team know whatever.

Hmmm, would be hard to fit into the current GUI with the space we've got at the moment...

Although in theory, it would be much-needed. This way my all-caps cries for help will have a tiny little bit less of a chance to go royally unnoticed.

Agreed. So many angry statements wasted on chat.

          And I'm serious, not joking.

Here's an example from PlanetSide, I found. Chat and Kill Spam share two sections in the window, each scroll separately. Both can be resized differently- such as in the example to highlight killspam. The white lines at the bottom is the chat section- it has been essentially minimized, and the window maximized- to display lots of kill spam.

Yeah PlanetSide was at one time a lot of fun. It's an MMOFPS where you fight for control of bases, capturing all bases on a continent to gain it, and controlling all the continents and therefore the world. It never ends.

I wouldnt recommend it now though. Hence me playing this game and not that one.

its not a waste. trash talking makes other players mad and not play as well because thier brain gets all hurty from reading messages directed at them.

i remeber a while ago i was trashing Linnis before i got my new computer and he came at me with a defib one time to try and shut me up but then i just defibd him instead and laughed at him more. his score continued to drop. trash talking works.

EA can't even fix the gun loop bug & you want them to add another window for chat? you might as well ask for world peace:p

hey i can dream... or i can break down and get a mic. I just have this anti-mic/teamspeak/ventrillo thing going on. I prefer the old skool flavor of text chatting like in most of the games I've played around the turn of the century.

I'm a old skool PC gamer I miss my chat windows.

This is too much to ask for from EA.

you should play something like armed assault or operation flashpoint 2 when that comes out they have massive rolling campaigns that go on for days
