Can you turn off hit indicators?

Anyone know of a game command that will turn off the hit indicators for the client?

I dont really want to see the white X on people when I hit them. A way to make it smaller will work also.

Oh man, come ON!!!!

Why are all the features that are no big deal locked down like that? All I want is to not see a magical X. All others want is to turn off UAV, Heli, and air strikes and still play ranked. Whats wrong with an infrantry only game?

but how will u know wen u hit a random wall shot or a bunch of stacked enemies?

LOL, I wont, but thats OK. I dont want a random shot. The X can get in the way of aiming for me. For some reason my eye will focus on that as a cross hair instead of my actual shots. When you shoot someone in the game, they jerk anyway, so its not like I dont know I am hitting someone.

Also, if your quiet and close enough you can hear the bullets hit the enemies.

I agree crunch, i wish airstrikes or at least helicopters can be removed.. they are godless killing machines.

if your firing with an unsilenced weapon with nades and other guns going off around you then its hard to hear the thewwww noise it makes

Yeah, but then again its so frantic in TDM that it really does not matter.. in S&D it will matter though

I love the hit indicator. Yes I do use it to help me aim, but it's quite convenient when shooting through walls.

I hate how it doesn't match your sights when zoomed in. I used the hit indicator to aim in CoD2 while moving and I just can't kick the habit.

Yea, thats the problem. Its not that I dont like the indicator, but its not exactly right so when you look at it, it throws you off.
