    M14 vs M21

Which would be the better choice? Both seem to be the same gun, but there are a lot of factors choosing each one.

If you choose the M14, you get more ammo and larger clip size. You can put a silencer or RDS on it.

If you choose the M21, you get a longer assist range and sniper scope. Your guy will have a ghillie suit if the map sets it up that way. You also have higher damage across the board vs. the M14.

So is the M21 the beast or does ammo and attachments make the difference for the M14?

Personally I don't use either. I choose M4 or G36C when using Assault Rifles, the M40 when using bolt action, and the SVD when using semi-auto (unless penetration is important on the map I may take the .50). But for discussion I would choose the M21 with the scope for reasons you have given.

M14 is great, and it's what I use if I'm not in the mood to scope/AK. Something different, but still requires some amount of skill to use (granted, I'm talking about regular where it takes multiple shots to kill).
M21, well - I've honestly never really used the gun. M14 looks cooler, and I don't like semi-automatic snipers, so that's part of the reason I never used it.

If I had to pick, it'd be the m14. I've seen people wreck havoc with it - can't say the same for the M21.

For your reasons, the M21 is nice because you get the ghillie - but if you are using that gun you probably aren't the most stealthy player, so it defeats the purpose.

I like them both, although I use the M21 with an AGOC. (and Bandolier, to fix the ammo issue)

But one important thing to remember is that the the M21 is a sniper, so unscoped it has an absolutely gigantic deviation.

M14 is the better, massive recoil but the massive damage makes up for it. Granted, M21 is a sniper but if you want to snipe pick a boltie instead.

M14 with stopping power is almost always a guaranteed kill on the head, other than that usually two hits... (and it has no sway with RDS or without attachments)

Silencer is only worth using in HC, but barely then either :p

And as always M14 looks sexeh in Red tiger camo.

          It's probably the closest thing to CoD2's rifles (M1 & K98)

it's nothing like the M1, the M1 had Little recoil at all.

and the Kar98k was bolt action \(^^,)/

Neither, G3(silenced) or M16(double tap) ftw.

Depends what I want out of it.

If I want an assault rifle, the M14 (lower hip spread, attachments, etc.). If I want a sniper, the M21 (scoped, damage, higher hip spread - bad for assault weapons).

I love my M14. I also use the Steady Aim perk to reduce the unscoped deviation since it's pretty massive.

M14 has the larger magazine, smaller hip spread, and the interesting distinction of being the only assault rifle that will one shot headshot with Stopping Power.

The M21 is a semiauto version of the M40. 70 damage with 1.5 modifiers on head, neck and chest.

I love the m21, to be able to put 2 shots down range with a sniper is awesome
