I recently go the game, and decided to patch up, but when I load the game with 1.50 the monitor just goes black, and stays black. Any help?

dunno, try the incremental patches not the full patch.

Sounds like the game is trying to start in a resolution that your monitor doesn't support. What sort of monitor?
You could also try updating DX9 to the latest version. That was giving me issues recently.Comment

I'm running on an acer AL1917, in 1400*900. I thought the patch added widescreen support?
I just re-installed windows and my drivers are brand new, I'm pretty sure thats not the problem.
I'm going away tomorrow morning for two weeks, so if I don't get to it tonight then I won't for awhile. Thanks for the help... especially Jake lol.Comment

If this doesn't work I'll try that. But I think the problem was I need the incremental patch and not the full, because I failed to realize that the game came patched to 1.4. Oops... I'm trying the incremental now.
EDIT: The incremental did not work... same problem as before. How do I add that to the command line if I can't open the game?
EDIT: The widescreen command line worked, I checked up on snipers sticky.Comment

The 1.51 patch may have changed some things where you may no longer need that specific string. I dont know that for sure as I havent messed with it.
