How is BF2 These Days?

It's been over a year since I've played BF2 or visited this forum, and I just wondered if the game is still as played as it used to be back in the day. I just bought BF:Bad Company the other day and it reminded me of the amazingness of BF2. I'm reinstalling it right now and I just wondered If there are still lots of people still playing it and some new mods to try out. Thanks!

Hey dude, let me start by saying, it is still widely played. Yeh the game has its good points, its a great game, but there are just as many noobs on it now as back then, if i wer you i wouldn't get serious about BF2 again, i left it for about a year aswel, due to the fact it was a noob haven, i returned, and saw exactly why i left it in the first place :thumbsup:

Try some mods, they are always a blast, summat different to do.

So quick run through:

• Still a good game
  
• Get a good server its fun
  
• Get a bad server you wont want to play it again
  
• Lots of mods to play
  
• Hardly any are populated though.

I came back and noticed many hackers
aim bots, commander hack etc etc

The game is still good, but make sure you play it with people you know. It adds 150% to the fun.

I play exclusively on the Full Contact War server,they play the game right on that server.

Installed the game today again, and i must say i have missed it.

From the foggy hills of Shongua Stalemate to Karkand.

After 3 years, now owning a PS3 and many games, i can say: This game was the best game i have ever played!

Much as we complain it still is one of the better games to have come out.No other game is comparable,except maybe bad company but obviously we don't have that.

Yeah, Full Contact is the place to play. The require Squad play...kick if you are not in one and almost everyone uses VOIP. And because the other team is using all the same tools, VOIP and squads...it takes the game up to a higher level and harder. You have to work hard to keep on top because the other team can coordinate fast to counter whatever flag you just took.

It is a worthwhile server...and hard to get into. I think there are a few people from TGN on there...but not 100% sure.

deadmeat server with not 2 many rules(just be nice)
and the admins are catching cheaters every now and then
by taking punkbuster screenshots

This Full Contact War server sounds great, are they listed in the public servers? Is that the name they go under?

Yes,just type in full contact war.Or just look at the full server and you will find it.It can be a hassle getting it but worth it.

BF2 is my new CS. It's hard to let go...

It's still a fine game, provided you're on the right servers with the right people.

Cigs, pot, pepsi, and BF2 are the only things constant in life. Everything else is fleeting.
