Re: iw3wp problem...
Had the same problem. Don't re-install it, just plug in a ur mic (if you have one).
Worked for me. And worked for hundred others! If it doesn't work, then try installing new updates for you computer.
Don't forget, lots of people think its Vista. Sometimes it is or either Plug something in. Don't ask me "why?" cause I don't know...Call of Duty 4 doesn't work on Windows 95, 98, ME, and 2000. Only on Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Re: iw3wp problem...
Well not meaning to say this but its not really Vista's fault! Try running it in 'administrator' (Right click on COD4 MP and goto Compatibility and check Run as Administer) For Battlefield 2142 you have to run it as administer on Vista.
But give that a shot, and if it will that good!:p if not tell me or other people what happened

Also you need a mic to play Multiplayer, If you don't then buy one from Future Shop or other electronic stores.

Re: iw3wp problem...
Are you serious? You shouldn't need a mic to play multiplayer. Although I do have one I'm pretty sure before I played it without a mic and my friend plays it with his headphones and not a mic plugged in.
