Thankfully the server seems to be back to normal although a lot of aimbot players are getting kicked now. Looks like security has been beefed up slightly. :thumbsup:

"He gave up administrator rights" is not a hack, lol everybody can do this just type "rcon logout" in the console and it will show up.

rcon logout won't give that message. It will just say you have to be logged in before you can be logged out.

But if he changed stuff surely then client side would not be consistent and would get the clients kicked off the server?

I have seen this guy before his is a total hacker, i have seen him with aimbot flying tanks, health hacks, and some how knowing were everyone is at all times.

Just to let ya guys know...

A speed hack is available and has been used

I have seen an APC flying all over the screen real fast so for those who don't think speed hacks are possible, it's already out.

A speedhack is possible, but the person must gain access to the server to change the variables at that end.

It is not possible to create a client end speedhack as the server will always update your position. So, you'd speed over to one part of the map and when the server updates your location, it'll plonk you back where you began. Seeing how many times the server updates your position, it'll just seem like a lot of lag.

The player must gain access to BF2CC or the server the game is running off in order to either change vehicle variables or edit the data coming from their computer (done by hash or IP i guess). I suspect this is harder to do, hence why it doesn't happen that often.

The original screenshot showing a player constantly giving up admin rights shows that he has somehow found a weakness and gained admin rights and thus can do what he likes.

Server owners should immediately shut down the server for 20-30 minutes by which time, the hacker will have hopefully moved on. All exploits should also be reported to GSP's, BF2CC dev staff and PB.

That is actually an x-fire hack that can be used ingame to do that! It is limited to just saying that with your name in it. Pretty readily available hack for x-fire, you just have to know how to use it for bf2.

I can only repeat myself that this is not a hack.Go on a server and type:rcon logout in your console then press the up key and press enter and so on....:)

Correct you are. Just tried it and got banned from the server i was on lol.

Jimtool, it does work, i just did it on a live server.
